BACK TO NEWSLETTER 2000 CONTENTS
The OC Millennium Choral Day, Scadding Exhibition, Classic Car Meeting, and Dorset Dinner generated great interest from a very wide spectrum of OCs. It could have been one of our more interesting gatherings for many, many years. But it was not to be - there was a national fuel shortage! The event had to be postponed until September 15th 2001.

All in all, the postponement was a major disaster for all those OCs who had put so much effort into getting the event off the ground, and the members of the school who were to help with the Exhibition, the music, and of course, all the food. Believe it or not, the printing and the mail shot amounted to nearly £500 - a sum that the impoverished OC Soc’ could ill afford.
To quote the late JDS. "We must snatch victory from the jaws of defeat." Let us hope that all the above will enter the new date in their diaries now and that other OCs, having seen the lists of others who were intending to participate, will be encouraged to attend and make what might have been an excellent meeting into an even better one!
