Don't know if you remember me, but you taught me Biology 10+ years ago for 3 years. In fact it must have been down to you that I got an A at GCSE!
Anyway, I read about your retirement in an OC document (and about Mr Beeby's too). I hope you have got lots of exciting things to do now that you are no longer teaching. I thought you might be interested to know that after a 4 year stint in London in the Library and publishing world (I was an editor for Who's Who for 3 years), I came back to the south and went to Bath University to do a PGCE. This July I finished my NQT year at Cranborne Middle School - in between Blandford and Salisbury. I teach English throughout the school and I am really enjoying it. (I am also qualified to teach KS2 Science, but I never mention that!!)
I have also just moved to a house in Blandford, and will be getting married next summer, so things are really looking up...
