Subject: Finding memory lane !!

Hi fellow O.C.'s I trust you are all well and enjoying the education Clayesmore installed in you !!!

A couple of years ago I reluctantly joined the technology world in purchasing a computer, had to for obvious reasons ! I searched Clayesmore school and found the web site somewhat in its infancy....but last night I decided to check it out again to find to my great joy, names and address of friends from way back, whom I felt I would never hear or see again !!! For all those involved in creating and updating the Clayesmore Web site, well done, a great job done and thank you for creating the possibility to reconnect with lost friends.

After leaving Clayesmore I trained in the catering business for several years before going into sales. I then moved to Australia at 21 where I travelled and lived [Hervey Bay, Queensland] for 2 1/2 yrs. Then I moved to California [Glendale, L.A.] where I lived for six years and started a handyman service, which soon turned into a property remodelling business. At 27 I nearly tied the knot to a Calif. babe, but felt I had to do some travelling, so set off in my camper going all over the U.S. for eight months playing golf, [well the second half turned into a party really !!! ] Then worked for this millionaire in Palm Springs supervising his construction projects. I soon had itchy feet and travelled overland for a year through the whole of Central America [including the Darian Gap, one month after the invasion of Panama by the Americans] to Colombia and Ecuador. A great journey!! Decided to then apply to live in Australia so had to apply from Australia house in London where I spent three months after being out of England for ten years visiting friends and places including Clayesmore. I found Mr Mash and Mr Griffith and to my amazement lots of girls !!! There were no girls when I first started at Clayesmore, then came along 23 girls, 3 seniors. [Stephanie I hope you will write to me] I was declined by Australia house [not enough 'o' levels!!!!!!] but decided to travel overland to Australia anyway. So travelled for three months through Europe, Yugoslavia [one month before the war broke out] Turkey and Asia. Bought a house in Buderim, sunshine coast Queensland and enjoyed a year remodelling the house before going off to China and Tibet for 3 months. Then moved to New Zealand just North of Auckland and enjoyed living a year there remodelling a home I purchased. In both Australia and New Zealand played for soccer teams [4th. division in N.Z.] also playing Cricket and tennis. Feeling N.Z. was too quiet and still having itchy feet went back to California for a short period now at 33 yrs. old. But did not enjoy California as much as when I was there in my mid 20's. So decided to move to Costa Rica where I started a car rental business while I investigated the country to do a full-on business. After a year and with the pending elections, decided to check out Panama where I found my present home. I have lived 7 1/2 yrs. in the islands of Bocas Del Toro in the Caribbean near the border to C.R. where I have developed a business of building speck homes on the waters edge. I'm an owner in a five star floating marina. Three years ago purchased a cattle farm to fulfil a dream, to design and build a golf course. [The cattle keep the weeds down till the day arrives !!! ] NO !! No mad cow or foot and mouth around here! Plus purchased several other properties, which have been cleaned up, planted with trees etc. Panama is a wonderful place to live as it is away from the crazy westernised way of life yet not 3 rd. world. As of the last 12 years Panama has had no army. I live in the Caribbean but we are outside the hurricane belt. The U.S. dollar is our currency so no crazy devaluation. Panama city has 115 world banks, it is the cross oceans of the world with the Panama Canal and has the second largest duty free port in the world after Hong Kong. Panama is an undiscovered wonder !! At present we are building my home on the beach which has been a joy in artistic, creativity. I'm still single and enjoying freedom, which might all change soon !!

Anyone thinking of a holiday or passing through this way please feel free to call me ...[507] 757-9470 and I can show you around these beautiful islands, it would be wonderful to catch up with any O.C. If you have ever dreamed of owning a Caribbean beachfront property, check out www.bocasdeltoro.net  Island Realty go to residential, then property I.D.No. PK 1 - PK 7.

Next year I plan to take a year off and visit friends in N. America, Europe and Asia so anyone living in these areas I would love to touch base with you, so please drop me a line, let me know what is going on...the O.C. golf tourney sounds interesting !!

Take care.

Peace.

Thank you for your invite and I really enjoy the OC news and renewed contact with OCīs !! Thank you.
