Subject: Re: Dorset Event
Dear Nicholas:
Don't worry about the U.K. O.C. list too much. As an overseas O.C. I quite enjoy
receiving e-mails about your activities and there is always the possibility that
an overseas O.C. may be in the U.K. for one of these events....I like the sing
and dinner concept - I was there with you for the performance of St. Nicholas in
the Chapel about 40 years ago - brings back memories.
I've just finished coaching the National Youth Orchestra of Trinidad &
Tobago's brass section for two weeks during their summer course. Tonight is our
first concert in our main city in the south and tomorrow we play at the Hilton
in Port of Spain....Overture The Hebrides (Fingal's Cave) -Mendelssohn,
Beethoven 1 (1st mvt), Eine Steppenskizze - Borodin, Grand March- Verdi, William
Tell - Rossini and some pop arrangements for our junior members - a medley from
Jesus Christ Superstar and the Beatles' song "I want to hold your
hand" -
So you see I'm still quite active in music in between running one of the largest
private industrial estates in Trinidad and performing my duties as an Alderman
of the Capital City of Port Of Spain.
Kindest Regards
Francis Pau (57 - 59)
