1. Minutes of the previous AGM read by Hon.Sec. Adopted.

2. Report of Hon. Sec: The year began with the London Dinner. Simpson's as ever. The Menu as ever. Traditional English; no foreign isotopes here! Influenza cut a swathe through numbers and we ended up with around seventy-two. Importantly, the new headmaster, Martin Cooke and his wife Eleanor should have made it, but the virus laid her low. This year, (2002) their quorum looks to be complete. Last year too, saw a new head at the Prep School. Andrew Roberts-Wray who with his wife Charlotte did make it to the dinner. We hope to see them again.

The Society again subsidised cricket and golf and those taking part had themselves a good time according to the accounts in the Newsletter.

The O.C. Day in Feb meant the usual hockey game in fairly inhospitable weather. Very cold, yet the game kept us all awake. The usual first rate lunch and meeting with friends.

The Summer O.C. Day has escaped your Secretary who took self and wife to Paris so no record from this quarter.

The September O.C. weekend was all the things we had hoped of the Cancelled event of the year before. Scadding Exhibition. Forty-nine various on show, with three donated to silent auction to raise funds for a Scadding Art Prize. These pictures are on show tonight to collect final bids. The Veteran Car Show looked well, with ten entries to be walked round and quizzed. Ian Simcock took the prize with an immaculate Jaguar E. Type. Nick Zelle handled the musical side with his usual sure touch. He has created something which could run and run given its popular content of old durables. Dinner saw forty-six sitting down. Derek Thornbery '41-'47 spoke well and for all.

Bills of mortality: eleven this year. Two made the Times and Guardian's obit pages: Alan Gilmour and Richard Levin Ages have improved with 85 and 93 mentioned. On the Staff side, David Watkins and Muriel Henbest. Also, a most popular wife in Audrey Mclsaac after a long illness.
The O.C. Prize was awarded to Craig Hudson. Picture in Newsletter holding pint pot!
The Newsletter continues impressive with full accounts of things mentioned in this report. There is a mass of news and information put together as ever, by Nick Zelle. There are over thirty pictures to help it along. This must surely hold up against any similar old pupils publications.

Mark Farrand's O.C. Website is too big for its present slot and will have to be up rated. An index of success. Again, see Newsletter for details.

The Lamb & Flag meetings at 36, Rose St, WC2, are becoming another fact of life. First Monday each month. See and be seen.

Tonight, we have a presentation to David Beeby as part of A.O.B. He and His wife Anne are to be our guests.

3. Report from Hon. Treasurer: We are agreeably solvent. Details on the board in the Bar and reproduced in the Newsletter.

4. Election of President: David Anderson "returned unopposed" as a most popular choice.

5. Election of Hon. Sec.: Handed over to Karen Ripper who shifted her Tresorial duties to her husband Wm. Perks, O.C.

6. Election of Hon. Treasurer: William Perks. Proposed by Nick Zelle and seconded by David Evans.

7. Election to Committee: Tracey Austin ('84-'89) to be asked. Messrs. Dow and Mitchell confirmed in their posts. Proposed Tony Coe, seconded by David Evans.

8. Any Other Business

a.  Nick Zelle explained the Scadding Prize and silent auction for the pictures on display to raise funds.

b.  Stephen Levinson explained the Spinney Trust and distributed divers coloured handbills to explain details.

c. Presentation to David Beeby; arranged for this point in proceedings and agreed with him that it would proceed even were he unable to be present at that moment. President made an impressive speech covering David Beeby's help and kindness to the Society over many years. D.J.B. arrived after the "event" for which a fallback included a simplified presentation after the Dinner. See Account of Dinner.

No Further Business - Meeting Closed at 18.45 - Dinner Called at 1910.
