Editorial

Normally I add a few comments in the form of a post script. But this year is a 'window' in the Newsletter which I have been unable to use as I am still such a novice with 'Quark' so I will try to use up this gap.

It has been a little less easy this year to persuade many of you to write but I must thank John Grant and Hugh Thompson for their WATN efforts. I am sure this is the heart of the Newsletter and it is good to have so many additions to it.

James Tilmouth has also been very busy researching into Clayesmore's history. Mark Farrand has again generated plenty of material with the OC website which continues to grow in scope and interest. You might notice that as a society, we seem to have done less this year than last. Should any of you have any stimulating ideas that have not yet been tried, please suggest them to any member of the committee.

Again this year it has not been easy to get the material sufficiently together for our printer, there is nothing wrong with the OC computer so it is my lack of skill that is the problem. If I have left anything out that should be in, I can only apologize and hope that I learn a few more tricks in time for the next edition. I am especially sorry that there is no photo of the 'Cormorant week'. Photos were sent but I was unable to get this computer to read them!
