Hi everyone,

Well firstly I would like to thank you all for either your sponsorship or your kind wishes of support.

I arrived in Kathmandu yesterday (minus my luggage which hasn't yet been located!) and since then have been experiencing this vastly different culture. I have been tempted by many a friendly shop keeper to buy some gorgeous pashminas, bags, jewellery and clothes. People have generally been very friendly and I am starting to settle in.

This is just a quick note to let you know that I have settled in. Also to say a big thank you, because without your support this amazing journey would not have been possible.

I am off to my school tomorrow

Just to update you on how I am doing here in Nepal. Had a great week teaching in the school last week and have just spent a week travelling as the children had exams. I visited a place called Pokara-a gruelling 9 hour bus journey away!

Had a lovely time mountain biking, rowing on the lake and walking. I planned to do a short trek but unfortunately my friend was unwell so it didn't happen in the end. I also tried to visit Chitwan National Park but the roads are not brilliant due to landslides, so the elephant ride will just have to wait!

Dont hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, I would love to hear from you.
