Dear John,
As for yours truly, I am partially retired, having taught Drama and Literature
for over 30 years in Victorian Secondary schools but the ailing state of the
share market over here keeps me confined to my hillsy hovel in the beautiful
Dandenongs outside Melbourne, where I received a delightful visit from a
contemporary OC, Jim Boyes (58 - 63) a couple of years ago. I am in
sporadic Email contact with Howard Burnham (60 - 65), now living in the
good ole US of A and by Christmas card (mainly from the other end, I am ashamed
to say) and the occasional telephone conversation with Alan Hayden(59 - 64).
I still tread the boards in an amateur capacity with regular frequency - a
lifelong passion instilled in me by the late and wonderful Carl Verrinder - read
copiously, hope to see England raise the Rugby world cup, loving most things
sporting and, as I dither towards dotage, think fondly of my days at Iwerne
Minster and that most green and pleasant of English counties, Dorsetshire.
Never apologise for being in touch. There are some who will remember me out
there with some fondness I'm sure, as indeed I remember them!
Yours very sincerely,
Malcolm Sussman (59 - 65)
