OC Golf Society v Rushmore 2003

After the OC’s
impressive win in last
year’s match, the team from Rushmore Golf Club led by this year’s Captain
and OC, Max Dowse exacted their revenge this
year. His Rushmore Team edged to victory by 3
matches to 2 in another hugely enjoyable day at the club just down the road from
the School at Tollard Royal.
The match took place on Friday 10th October and Rushmore made the OC’s visitors very welcome and the fourball matches, although very competitive, were played in a wonderful spirit.
Special mention must be
made of Robin Harrison in his match. He birdied two
of the par 3 short
holes
and received a handicap
stroke at each which meant he
achieved 2 net Holes in One in the round!!! A rare
feat indeed.

1. Max Dowse & Ben Kehoe beat David Wakely & Spencer Holton
2. Martin Lucas & David Goucher beat Trevor Harrison & George Hodgson
3. Brian Harding & Ron Bain halved with Colin Redstone & David Bennett
4. David Strong & Ian Smee lost to David Caddy & Ian Smith
5. Andy Taylor & Brian Close halved with Julian Bailey & Robin Harrisonh
