BACK TO NEWSLETTER 1998 CONTENTS
Email Contributions 1998
Dear Nick, I'm conscious that I have a half completed form from the 97 OC Newsletter as I try to clear my desk on Good Friday. I'm inspired to complete and submit it electronically now there is an e-mail address.
Name: John Symons (62-67)
Dates: 62-67
Quals etc: TD, MSc, PhD, Sloan Fellow of the London Business School
Career: Regular Army 67-81(TA 81 onwards), City, Operation Raleigh, academia/ consultancy.
Address: Old Stables, Copyhold Farm, Goring Heath, Reading RG8 7RT (but hoping to move shortly)
Tel: 07000 796667
OC Contact: I presently run an MBA programme in London. During a recent study trip to Prague one of my students revealed himself to be an OC when I was describing how I passed Biology O level because Humphrey would thrash us each week if we failed the exam! He is Jeremy Moore who, like so many, claims an undistinguished period at school but has done well subsequently (in the City, in his case). Last Christmas holiday in a hotel in the Atlas Mountains met Andrew Curtis (73-78) through an equally unlikely but different conversation. He an Oxbridge educated OC who teaches art. With our partners we enjoyed a couple of days of tennis, riding and eating before going in different directions. Of my own generation, David Lowcock (63-67), solicitor of Beaminster, is the only person I contact regularly for legal advice.
Regards, John
