I am writing in reply to the recent letter from David Beeby with a copy of Clayesmore 98. My business Email is wittleton.dan@traf.com and my home Email wittleton@bigpond.com.au
I left Clayesmore in 1968 and graduated from Leicester Polytechnic with an H.N.D. in mechanical engineering in 1971, since then, I have moved around the world working in the mining and mineral processing industry. This really started for me in January 1975 when I went to Botswana to work on a Nickel/Copper mine and processing plant.
I married Judy, from Street Somerset, in Durban RSA in 1977 and we have just celebrated 21 years together.
In 1980 we moved from Botswana to Canada - Flin Flon Northern Manitoba (8 years) with Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting, followed by 2 years in Timmins Northern Ontario at Kidd Creek Mines with H.G.Engineering. We migrated to Australia in 1990 working in Melbourne for engineering companies. The last seven years have been with Davy McKee, which has undergone a number of name changes and now
trades as Kvaerner Metals after the take-over of Trafalgar House by the Norwegians.
We have two daughters Polly (19) and Tobie (16) - both have represented Victoria in junior hockey.
At the beginning of this year we made another move, this time to Brisbane with the same company (Kvaerner). We are presently renting but intend to buy a house in the near future and hopefully will not
move again for quite some time!!

Spoke to Nick Wallrock (1962 - 67) this week first time since 1967, weird isn't it. He lives about 20 mins drive from us. We are going to arrange to meet in the near future.
