Letters 1998
Jan 7th 98
Dear Nick,
It was very good to see you at Clayesmore for the Irby recital. I feel it is still a happy place but I am glad you were able to find time to get the OC Newsletter going again! It was quite splendid and I do congratulate you on it. It is one I will enjoy keeping. It was most interesting to hear about people out of past years. Bowen(36-41) was one of the boys I met when I went for my interview. He saw that I was lost! I came in by the Tuck Shop entrance so he took me over to the Headmaster's study which was very kind of him. I was sad about Robin Wayman as I think he was one of the nicest boys and I always looked upon him as a friend.
Will you be keeping up the good work and look after the next Newsletter? I hope so!
Well, a happy new year and much love,
Ruth

PS. I like the portrait of King. I did suggest that a copy of it would look good in the school Dining Hall.
