Letters 1998

Dear Nicholas

It is with some sorrow that I write as I feel that I have lost contact with all my old school friends at Clayesmore and suspect that few of them get involved with the OCs. However my conscience has got the better of me and thought I should make contact.

I am unsure as to whether I am still officially a member of the OCs although I did get 'Clayesmore 98'. I would be interested in the dinner in September and will make every effort to attend,

For your records I thought you might like to know that I am now working as an 'Agricultural Bank Manager' for Barclays in Leicestershire. This is to me very appropriate as whilst I did not shine in exams whilst at Clayesmore (although that has now been rectified) I did spend a lot of time with the Mammal Club and The Bee-keeping Club, the latter I still continue and I have fond memories of collecting swarms from behind the pottery workshop during my time there.

I ramble but hope that I will meet you later in the year and would be interested in my colleagues that may be at this year's functions.

J. A. Hardy-Smith(62-65)
