Dear Sirs,
Last weekend I managed finally to catch up with my long lost cousin Robert Kenchington(81-86) who showed me the latest copy of the Clayesmorian. I was very surprised to see my name under the "missing persons" list! I had better update you with my life as is!
I have only just returned to Wiltshire from Yorkshire where I had lived and worked for 10 years. I am now a fully qualified Legal Secretary and worked in Yorkshire for a small rural partnership of solicitors. I then married and had my daughter Poppy Ruth in January 1994.
When Poppy was about 20 months, I went back to work as the Assistant Chief Executive of Darlington Borough Council in 1995/96 to help in the Central Support Group which co-ordinated an enormous project preparing the Borough Council for Unitary Status in April 1997. Whilst under tremendous stress my marriage sadly failed and I returned home to my roots in Wiltshire, and to be near my parents again. I now live at the above address with my daughter Poppy, my partner Jason Murray and I am working at present for a local practice of solicitors in Marlborough for a divorce lawyer (something that proved quite useful under the circumstances!) However I am due to give up work in July this year as I am expecting my second child in September.
My project then will be to concentrate on my children - Poppy starts school in September and also we will have the new arrival. I also have my parents' horses to contend with and I am thinking of taking up my examinations again in Horse Management. I took BHS stage 1 in December 1992 and passed with flying colours! I am also in demand from the firm that I will be leaving to come back on a relief basis as well as in the middle of discussions with the barrister who has recently moved to the area and needs a part time secretary at home. All this as well as a large garden, two cats and four fish - I do feel my time will be well occupied.
I would be delighted to receive any correspondence from the Clayesmorian and I hope that you now have all the details you require. I would be very grateful for any news/address of Kendra Graham Clark or James Chapman(83-85) - James' parents lived in Bosham. I was recently in that area and would dearly love to contact him again.
Hope that we can now all keep in touch!
Yours
Robina H. Vaux.
