29th December 2004

Dear Nick,

Splendid magazine as ever.

Adrian Drapkin asked the name of the house where the first Cormorants Tour stayed in August 1960 (Newsletter 2004); they of course didn't know we were camping not far away but didn't let on in case they came and wrecked the tent in the night.

From memory (which isn’t all it used to be) it seemed to have rained most days so there was more time in the pub than on the cricket pitch.
I remember a couple of nights we had to sleep in the car because the rain was getting into the tent.

The house in question was: LAMLEDRA, GORRAN HAVEN, Nr ST AUSTELL. not Camborne as Adrian suggested.

One wet day we went to the cinema and saw the comedy WAKE NINE MINK.
