Saturday 21st January 2006 - at the Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh.
As most OCs know, the annual dinner is held in January, at
Simpson's-in-the-Strand. There are however a number of us who find it both
difficult and expensive to travel down to London and with this in mind, a
"Scottish and Northern England Old Clayesmorian Dinner" is being organised
and will be held on Saturday 21st January at the
Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh.
This will be the week before the usual Society dinner for anyone wanting to
attend both functions and if all goes well, it would be nice to make an annual
event of it. More importantly, it will provide a link for OCs up this end of the
UK.
Interest following an initial letter sent out this summer has been encouraging
and proper invitations and payment details will be sent out in late December or
early January to those who responded. The cost is £30 for three courses
including wine, which is pretty reasonable for the location and menu. Interested
OCs - the more the merrier! - should email
Michael Phillips,
or phone on 01224 311933, and they will be added to
the mailing list.
