Congratulations to former Prep School pupil, Ben Moxham (31) who has been appointed to head up the Government's energy and environmental policy.

Ben's appointed was approved directly by David Cameron and Nick Clegg and he is one of nine new specialist advisers. A former BP employee, Ben latterly worked for Riverstone private equity group which specialises in oil and renewable energy. The Government regards its energy policy increasingly to be the implementation of the kind of renewables agenda Ben took charge of when he was at BP, where he was key in helping BP move 'beyond petroleum' as its strapline became.

The Prep School remembers Ben as an incredibly bright boy who was a key player in the musical life of the school. The son of former Prep Deputy Head, Graham Moxham, Ben went on to achieve 4 A grade A levels and a First Class Degree at Oxford where he came 7th in a year of 300. He progressed to Post Grad studies at Harvard and became one if its youngest ever lecturers there at the age of 24.
