The Spinney Memorial Trust
The Spinney Memorial Trust, a registered charity, was established in 1990 by a group of Old Clayesmorians in memory of David Spinney. Its principal object is to provide bursaries and grants for the educational benefit of Clayesmore's pupils and it is funded by Old Clayesmorians.
The Trust seeks to support individual pupils in a way that enables them to do things that without the Trust's financial support they may not be able to do. In recent years the Trust has been able to support a widening range of projects and activities with grants of up to £1,000 for each pupil applying for a grant.
The Trust relies entirely on the generosity of OCs for its fund. We believe that by supporting the individual needs of Clayesmore's pupils in the way we do we foster a spirit of individualism and self-reliance and help to keep alive the distinctive nature of Clayesmore's education.
